Roberts Creek: the Gumboot Nation of the Sunshine Coast.
Roberts Creek is prized on the Coast for its laid-back lifestyle, open attitudes of tolerance and inclusivity, funky creativity and joie de vivre. A mix of agricultural property, Crown Land forests, creeks, parks, large residential lots, beachfront and hillside homes, the Creek is home to artists, back-to-the-land-ers, suburbanites and commuters into Vancouver. Everyone is welcome in Roberts Creek.

Highlights of Creek life include the annual Roberts Creek Daze and Higgeldy Piggeldy Parade down Roberts Creek Road, Earth Day Celebrations, and the frequent dances held at the cherished Roberts Creek Hall. Wander down to the bottom of Roberts Creek Road, where you will find our quaint local library, general store, beach and pier... and the famous Gumboot Restaurant and Gumboot Garden Cafe. Next door is the architecturally pleasing "Heart of the Creek" shopping area, with outdoor adventure gear and guided trips, locally made arts and pottery, health food store, music store and more.
Roberts Creek is also home to many artisans operating out of small cottages and homes - look for the purple banners and signs denoting galleries that welcome drop-in visitors. In the summer Guides and Scouts visit Camp Olave and Camp Byng, and Lower Road offers a long, luscious wander along a much less traveled arterial road. Several homes have stunning roadside gardens, and small bouquets can be bought from umbrella-shaded tables on street corners on the honour system.
Cliff Gilker Park is a popular spot for sports field events, the playground, and beautiful trails wandering past the meandering creek or gorgeous waterfalls. Up the B&K Logging Road is the Sunshine Coast Equestrian area, where barrel-racing and other equestrian events are held on a frequent basis and open to spectators. Further up the hill is the Elphinstone and Dakota Bowl trail access, popular in winter among snowshoers and cross-country skiers but offering many beautiful trails for hikers and mountain bikers as well.
So come to the Creek, and come home!
